Creating a world that works for all life
Singing Circle Amsterdam
singing the new world into being
Singing can reconnect us — to our voice, to our bodies, and to a sense of belonging. In our circles, we explore the power of simple songs and mantras to open the heart and bring us back to ourselves.
We sing not to fix or improve, but to feel and express, together.
What the evening looks like
Our singing evenings last about two hours. Together, we create a gentle and nourishing field through sound, presence, and silence. We end the evening with a cup of tea and time to land. You don't need any singing experience — everyone is welcome.
We begin with gentle voice-liberation exercises to warm up and land in the space.

We sing mantras and community songs from a variety of traditions, including our own.

Between the songs, we have a moment of silence. We keep words to a minimum — letting sound be our language.

You’re welcome to express what’s alive in you — to celebrate, to mourn, to sound, to be still.

You can sing, hum, dance, or simply lie down and receive.

No singing experience needed. For us, singing is about expressing — whatever it sounds like.

We often leave feeling more alive, connected and embodied.

We'd love to have you with us!
Our Vision

Our dream is that this circle becomes a place of community—a space where singing nourishes us, awakens us, and reminds us of what’s possible. That through song, we remember our essence, our love, our power. That we walk away feeling more alive, more open, and more connected to the new world that's possible for us.
About Singing
You don't need to be able to 'sing' (whatever that means). For us, singing is about using your voice to express whatever is alive in you. To celebrate and mourn life, through giving sound to what's here. This is something we can practice - and as with any practice, this can sometimes feel new or uncomfortable. We love to create spaces where people feel safe to experiment and explore.
The Singing Field
We are creating a singing container with a dedicated group, that gathers 6 times over the course of 3 months to sing together. This rhythm allows for deepening in the practice of singing, creates a sense of community, and serves as a source of energy and nourishment. The first Singing Field will start in July 2025. If this resonates, we'd love to have you with us! Join us here.

We also organize singing evenings which you can join seperately. Next ones are May 12 and May 26 at Sukkha Yoga Amsterdam. Sign up here.

Meet the Musicians

Emma - Guitar & Vocals
From a young age I always brought my guitar with me and made up songs to sing together with my friends and family. After high school I lost my joy in playing for a while because I thought I had to be 'good'. Until I lived in a community in France in 2022 and a friend of mine invited me to co-lead a singing circle together. I was deeply touched. I fell in love with my guitar again and began exploring the world of mantras and songs that bring people together.
I have a deep passion for community building and creating spaces where people can come together in realness— celebrating the joys and sorrows of being human, connecting to the Sacred and to what’s possible for us as humanity. I create these spaces through music—as a singing circle leader and DJ—and through relational work as a Nonviolent Communication and Circling trainer.

Marjolein - Percussion
I am all about being natural and authentic. About embodying love, honesty and freedom. Which includes joy, humor and in my case also rythm. I love to carefully tune in on a setting, and play the rythm that flows in that moment. Sometimes subtle and careful, and on other times full of passion and playfulness. What I love about singing circles is the power of collective remembrance of who we truly are: nature, love, joy, alive, awake, divine, consciousness. And that we truly are One. Separation is the illusion we have to see through. Especially now. During gatherings like this, we get into a frequency of love and consciousness. And the more we find ourselves in these frequencies, the more we can bring them home to ourselves, and eventually in the world around us.
Aafje - Vocals & Ukelele
Singing has always been a source of joy and connection for me.
My singing lessons in high school taught me technique, but I discovered that singing with more freedom touches me much more deeply.
It is a way to ground and to express creatively.
Singing together, especially in the repetition of mantras, opens up a creative space for me in which I can experiment with my voice.
It helps me to connect — with myself, with each other, and with something greater.
That experience is something I would love to share.
